Two examples of Truania archangelskiana from Singilevo, Russia. Mounted in Hyrax and dated August 1966. Prepared by ECP Bone. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, slightly oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 34 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax).

I was a bit lucky with this one (which I’m glad as this is one of my ‘wish list’ diatoms). It has quite a small coverslip ring and I just managed to be able to use the 63x objective.
