An arrangement of three Synedrosphenia gomphomena from Cuba. Prepared by JA Long. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. I used the 40x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion to get closer to two of them (unfortunately I couldn’t get close enough with the 63x Leitz Pl Apo, so resolution suffers a bit). Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 20 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax).
