An arrangement of three Stictodsicus johnsonianus from Java. Note, I am not 100% sure they are all S. johnsonianus. The one at the top right does look to be to me, but I am less sure of the other two. The lower left one is an underside view with the rim towards the coverslip. Rather ‘oranged’ mountant. No makers name, but based on the style and handwriting I think this was prepared by JA Long. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. 40x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. 11mm of the tube to the camera removed to improve the field of view. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 44 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). Couldn’t get close enough to use the 63x Leitz Pl Apo objective.
