I’m placing three slides on this page as they are all arrangements by RI Firth, and they were all imaged in the same way. Please be patient here, as these are large images files and may take some time to load.
All three are mounted in styrax and were made in 1970. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. 20x Nikon Plan Apo NA 0.65 objective. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. Image stacks prepared in Zerene (Pmax). All three slides required two stacks each which were then pasted together in Photoshop.
