



An slide with a few examples of Scoliopleura latestriata from Hoquiam, Puget Sound, USA. Prepared by HJ Baker (likely Henry James Baker, see the Microscopist.net page here). Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. One was selected for imaging at higher magnification – it was big and the stacked image of it is uncropped (it required the full frame to fit it in). 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 63 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). This image shows the ‘inside’ of the structure with the rim towards the coverslip.
