An arrangement of of Russian, inter alia (I had to look that up, apparently it means ‘amongst other things’) diatoms. Jutland is also mentioned, and some do look like they are from there. Mainly a linear arrangement, however a couple have gone walkabout. Large range of species including Aulacodiscus, Actinoptychus, Rattrayella, Stephanogonia, Cosconidoscus and Trinacria (and others). Some coverslip damage at the edge. Unknown maker.
Olympus BHB microscope using white LED light. 10x Nikon Plan Apo 0.45 objective. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. Image stacks prepared in Zerene (Pmax), and then posted together in Photoshop.
I broke the linear arrangement into sections for imaging, and put part of it on the second line in the mosaic, basically to stop it from looking like a letterbox.
I recently acquired about 60 slides by this maker, so if you want to see others by them, search for AAAAA in the Search option at the top of the page, and I’ll include this in each of the pages for them.
