Port Townsend strew, Steve Edgar

Port Townsend strew, 10x Nikon Plan Apo NA 0.45 objective
Anomoeoneis costata

A strew slide from Port Townsend (situated a bit north of Seattle, USA, on the Pacific coast). Wide range of species present. Collection dated 1916. Prepared by Steve Edgar as part of the 2005 Meakin Collection slides. Mounted in Pleurax. I was told the main stack is an Anomoeoneis species, and based on the appearance and size I think it is likely A. costata. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. 63x Leitz Pl Apo NA 1.40 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, brightfield lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 37 images stacked in Zerene.
