An arrangement of Nitzschia tryblionella var. maxima from Yarra River (Australia). Mounted in Hyrax. Some visible issues with them, especially with the adhesive to the coverslip. Prepared by JA Long. I selected one for imaging at higher resolution with a 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 23 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). Looking in ImageJ the puncta spacing is about 304nm.
