Monopsia mammosa from Allan’s Farm, Oamaru, New Zealand. Single example on the slide. Mounted in Styraclor and dated June 1995. Prepared by Bernard Hartley. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 49 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). There are issues with the mounting, which is hugely unfortunate as other than that this is a great slide – the diatom is undamaged, and mounted with the oculus upwards towards the coverslip.
