Leudugeria janischii, 40x Leitz Pl Apo NA 1.00 objective, oil immersion, oblique lighting
Leudugeria janischii

Leudugeria janischii from Sherman Oaks, California, USA. Single example in between two disc shaped diatoms (not sure what these are, but they are very nice). No makers name, but based on style I think this is by JA Long. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. As well as the arrangement, I imaged the main diatom using a 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 32 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax).
