An arrangement of Hydrosera whampoensis (spelt wampoensis on the slide) from Tasmania. Prepared by JA Long. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. Main image stack of the central diatom from the arrangement. 63x Leitz Pl Apo NA 1.40 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, brightfield lighting, 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 20 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). Some faint details lost during the stacking, for example the dot pattern across the main body of the diatom.
