A type slide from Forresters Hill, Oamaru, New Zealand. Prepared by Ernest Wainwright in December 1952. 18 diatoms, some broken. A few, especially on the top row, have issues with the mountant looking obvious. Interesting array of species including Monopsis mammosa, Anthodiscina floreatus and a range of Auliscus species. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. Image of Triceratium oamaruense var. oamaruense using a 40x Leitz Pl Apo NA 1.00 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, brightfield lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 45 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax).
