See Schmidt’s Atlas (1874-1959, Plate 79, Figure 4) of a specimen from Samoa, given as Triceratium formosum var. pentagonalis. Trigonium formosum var. pentagonale (A.W.F.Schmidt) Desikachary & Prema 1987. Published in: Desikachary, T.V. & Prema, P. (1987). Diatoms from the Bay of Bengal. In: Atlas of Diatoms. Fasc. III. (Desikachary, T.V. Eds), pp. 1-10, pls. 222-331. Madras: Madras Science Foundation. Page 9.

Also a Grammatophora sp. at the top right. Possibly Grammatophora undulata.

I recently acquired about 30 more slides by this maker to add to the ones I already had, so if you want to see others by them, search for AAAAA in the Search option at the top of the page, and I’ll include this in each of the pages for them.
