Cymbella strew, Carter

Cymbella sp., 10x Nikon Plan Apo NA 0.45 objective, brightfield
Cymbella sp.
Tabellaria sp., (T. flocculosa ? )

A strew slide of Cymbella and various other diatoms. No location given. It says ‘Carter’ (presumably the name of the maker, maybe John Ripley Carter, but I am not sure about that) and ‘4/79’ (I’m assuming April 1979). Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. As well as the strew, I did a stack of a Cymbella sp. and a single frame of a Tabellaria sp. (maybe T. flocculosa) using the 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 12 images stacked for the Cymbella sp. Rimoportulae visible in the central region of the Tabellaria.
