Coscinodiscus lobatus from Conset, Barbados. Single example on the slide. Fossil material. Mounted in Aroclor, and dated October 1962. Prepared by ECP Bone. Mountant has crystallized and shrunk away from the coverslip around the diatom, leading to a very low contrast image of the diatom. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. 63x Leitz Pl Apo NA 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oblique lighting, oil immersion. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 13 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax).
