A strew slide of Brebissonia boeckii (and other species) from Loch Feochan, Scotland (a west coast sea loch south of Oban). Prepared by JA Long. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. As well as the strew I imaged one using the 40x Leitz Pl Apo NA 1.00 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 24 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). I couldn’t use the 63x Leitz as the coverslip ring was too high and prevented it from getting close enough. Shame really, as the extra resolution would have helped with some of the details.
