An arrangement of Bacteriastrum varians in different orientations. It also says what I originally thought was ‘Londres’ but is probably meant to be ‘Lauder’ as the name is Bacteriastrum varians Lauder. No makers name. Some movement of a couple of them, as seen in the 10x objective image. The closer view of the arrangement, including a couple of Eupodiscus diatoms was done using a 20x Nikon Plan Apo NA 0.65 objective. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 46 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). I also selected a couple of examples for image using a 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. Images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). These are shown as stacked and then as inverted in Photoshop as they look cool…..
