Auliscus sp., Division Hill, Oamaru

Single example on the slide. Mounted in Hyrax and dated November 1965. 47 images stacked. As for species, I initially thought Auliscus moronensis, but the more I look at it the less convinced I am by that. Maybe Auliscus pruinosus, as that seems to encompass quite a wide range of morphologies. Comments welcome.

Second one is from Flume Gulley.

Auliscus sp. (A. elegans var. subpunctata ? )

Single example on the slide. Mounted in Naphrax and dated December 1971. 43 images stacked. I’m a bit more confident about naming this one, and I think it might be Auliscus elegans var. subpunctata Rattray 1888. Published in: Rattray, J. (1888). A revision of the genus Auliscus Ehrenberg and of some allied genera. Journal of the Royal Microscopical Society 1888: 861-920, 5 pls [XII-XVI]. Page 873, Plate XVI [16], Figure 2.
