Asterolampra marylandica from Oamaru, New Zealand. Single example on the slide, mounted with the rim upwards towards the coverslip (underside view). It has moved quite a bit from the original position and is also now tilted. Described as rare. Prepared by Frederick Marshall. Also has ‘Hinton’ written on the slide (Ernest Hinton maybe? Perhaps someone thought this was by Marshall it does have Marshall’s monogram). Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 52 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax).
