Arrangement of 6 diatoms, unknown maker

Arrangement of 6 diatoms, 10x Nikon Plan Apo NA 0.45 objective, brightfield
Glyphodiscus sp. (G. bipunctatus ?)
Glyphodiscus sp. (G. stellatus ?)
Monopsia (M. mammosa ?)

An arrangement of 6 diatoms. No information on the location, and no makers name. There are 2x Glyphodiscus sp., 1x Monopsia sp., 1x Biddulphia sp. and 2x Aulacodiscus sp. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. I chose 3 of them for imaging at higher resolution. 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. Image stacks prepared in Zerene (Pmax).

Glyphodiscus sp. (G. bipunctatus ?). 40 images stacked. Nice looking diatom, no issues with the mountant. I have this as Glyphodiscus bipunctatus but with a question mark.

Glyphodiscus sp. (G. stellatus ?). 2 images stacked. Crystal in the mountant cutting across the diatom. I have this as Glyphodiscus stellatus but with a question mark.

Monopsia sp. (M. mammosa ?). 63 images stacked. Some damage to the rim, and viewed from the underside (with the oculus away from the coverslip). Nice clean mountant (lots of detail visible). Fairly sure this is Monopsia mammosa.

I recently acquired about 60 slides by this maker, so if you want to see others by them, search for AAAAA in the Search option at the top of the page, and I’ll include this in each of the pages for them.
