An arrangement of three Arachnoidiscus ornatus from Washington, USA. Mounted in Styrax and dated March 1965. Prepared by RI Firth. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. As well as the arrangement I imaged the smaller one on the left using the 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. 11mm removed from the tube the camera to increase the field of view. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 30 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). Done as a reverse stacking from the bottom to the top to emphasize the top surface.
