Ananino strew, WH Barrow

Ananino strew, 10x Nikon Plan Apo NA 0.45 objective, brightfield
Paralia siberica (possibly var. siberica)

A strew slide from Ananino, Russia. Good range of species. It also says ‘Biddulphia’ but I am not sure why there was a need to emphasize this. Prepared by WH Barrow of Leicester. I have a couple of strew slides by this maker, and they are all nicely made, with clear mountant. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. I picked one of for further imaging – I think it is Paralia siberica (possibly var. siberica). 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 29 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax).
