Actinoptychus seductilis (poor mountant), WA Firth

Actinoptychus seductilis (poor mountant), 10x Nikon Plan Apo NA 0.45 objective, brightfield
Actinoptychus seductilis (poor mountant)

Two examples of Actinoptychus seductilis from Sysran, Russia. Mountant is in a very bad way, unfortunately at the same depth as the diatoms, so I have left the images ‘un-cleaned’. Prepared by William Allott Firth. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. As well as the low magnification image I photographed them using the 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 58 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax).
