Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. 63x Leitz Pl Apo NA 1.40 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, brightfield lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 24 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax).
I am not sure about the naming for this one. While I have seen mention of A. signatus online, I haven’t come across any images to compare this one with. The examples on this slide look very much like Actinocyclus octonarius var.tenellus. I will continue to look for information on this and if I find anything out will update this entry.
