Triceratium montereyi (written as Montereyii on the label). A ‘two dot’ slide. Prepared by Edmund Wheeler. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.40 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 127 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). Dipping down slightly towards the right hand side. Some interesting ‘rosettes’ visible (which I haven’t seen in the other examples of this diatom I have). These can be seen in the stack, but are more obvious when looking at one of the original frames.
