An arrangement of three Arachnoidiscus ehrenbergii mounted in Hyrax. Prepared by Watson and Sons Ltd. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. As well as arrangement I imaged one using the 40x Leitz Pl Apo 1.00 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. 11mm removed from the tube to the camera to increase the field of view. Monochrome converted d850 camera. 39 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). The two at the top of the arrangement are ‘top views’ with the rims down (the main image is the top right one), the one at the bottom is an ‘underside view’ with the rim up. Presumably why the label has I.S. and O.S. (inside and outside).
