Campylodiscus samoensis, JA Long

Campylodiscus samoensis, 20x Nikon Plan Apo NA 0.65 objective, oblique lighting
Campylodiscus samoensis

Campylodiscus samoensis from Cannes, in between two disc diatoms. Single example on the slide. No makers name, but based on style I think this is by JA Long. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. As well as the arrangement, I imaged the main diatom using a 40x Leitz Pl Apo 1.00 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 104 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). Couldn’t get close enough with the 63x Leitz Pl Apo objective.
