Strew slide of Eupodiscus roperi. No makers name. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. Individual diatom imaged using a 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 42 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax).

Journal of the Quekett Microscopical Club 2: 37-43, pl. I: figs 1-8. Page 41. This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Actinocyclus roperi (Brébisson) Grunow ex Van Heurck. You can see the characteristic Actinocyclus ‘hole’ just inside the rim at about the 10 o’clock position.
