An arrangement of three Navicula cocconeiformis mounted in Styrax (some crystallization of the mountant). This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Cavinula cocconeiformis (W.Gregory ex Greville) D.G.Mann & A.J.Stickle. No mounters name, but this was prepared by Samuel Henry Meakin. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, brightfield lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 15 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). The stack is of the diatom on the right hand side of the arrangement. There are actually two values there, one on top of another. This stacked image is just the top one.
