With regards to the name for the diatom this slide, this one doesn’t look exactly the same as the examples on the other slide of S. buryanus I have shared here. Another Stictodiscus which is similar is shown here. So, is this one S. buryanus? At the moment I haven’t seen enough examples to be definitive, so will leave it was labelled for now.
