A nicely made slide with 5 of the 6 diatoms mounted with their tops facing upwards towards the coverslip (A. punctatus is the other way up with the rim at the top). Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED lighting. 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, brightfield or oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. Stacking in Zerene using Pmax.
