I’ve titles this page Navicula zanzibarica, but actually the slide has an arrangement of three diatoms on it – Triceratium nitescens, Synedra crystallina and Navicula zanzibarica – all of which I’ve imaged. No name, but prepared by Henry Morland. Dated 22nd March 1903. Accepted name for Triceratium nitescens is Trilamina nitescens. Navicula zanzibarica is also known as Lyrella zanzibarica.
