An arrangement of three Surirella hastata from Ongaroto Valley, New Zealand. Mounted in Sirax and dated July 1939. Prepared by Samuel Henry Meakin. Olympus BHB microscope using 450nm LED light. As well as the arrangement I imaged one using the 63x Leitz Pl Apo 1.4 objective, oil immersion. Olympus Aplanat Achromat condenser, oil immersion, oblique lighting. 2.5x Nikon CF PL photoeyepiece. 11mm removed from the tube to the camera to increase the field of view. Monochrome converted Nikon d850 camera. 65 images stacked in Zerene (Pmax). Got a bit lucky with this. With 11m of the tube the camera removed, it ‘just’ fit within the full frame using the 63x Leitz objective.
